Who
Since 2014 Apex Learn has tasked to build a sustainable SPO (Social Purpose Organization). Our mission is to popularize science and systems thinking among families and communities. By fostering a deeper understanding of the world, we aim to create homes filled with love, laughter, and respect, ultimately building a more informed and compassionate society.
Why
The world is changing. The political and economic paradigms that dominated global affairs in the 20th Century were largely based on linear thinking, and often originated from within disciplinary and cultural silos. The challenges now facing humanity require new ideas. A global perspective with individual level implementation is needed; Apex Learn is one of the most dedicated adult learning institutions in North America. A non-linear, or complex, perspective is also needed; for more than 10 years, Apex Learn has coordinated a network of complexity enthusiasts and professionals from top universities and companies around the world.
What
The Apex Learn Program are open enrollment multi-month program that provides deep exposure to the latest personal development concepts, mental models, and frameworks for thinking about economics and careers. Apex Learn will also provide an opportunity to collaborate on an group project developing an idea of your interest. Prior to 2025, our program was restricted to members from North Carolina and California. We expect to run the program for other regions in forthcoming years.
Selected participants will be early-career, deep thinkers who are either academics from a wide array of disciplines, or, practitioners from the private sector, government, or other civil society organizations. All accepted participants will be thinkers who care about the application of creative, intellectual solutions to emergent global challenges and their impact to individual families. Our curriculum is largely based on Hundun's Innovation Courses which has been running for over 10 years and whose alumni have gone on to obtain top positions in various industry and/or founded successful companies. Although this program will be of great use to individuals pursuing a career advancement, it is also highly relevant for practitioners seeking to increase their impact! Please note, this is a part-time residential program with some remote option. Attendees are recommended to participate in all lectures and engage with activities.
Cost
This program is completely free for all adult participants. All participants will receive a Microsoft Account to engage with instructions and materials. They will also receive one-on-one consultation time with an experienced learning guide.
